This unique, hands-on class provides an immersive introduction to blade smithing. Under expert guidance, you'll transform a bar of 8670 steel into a custom knife over an 8-hour session.
What You’ll Do

Forge Your Blade: Start with a bar of 8670 steel, renowned for its toughness and edge retention. Heat and hammer it into your desired shape, channeling traditional blacksmith techniques.

Grind to Perfection: After forging, move to a 2x72 belt grinder to refine the blade’s shape. Precision and skill come together here as you form and sharpen the blade.

Handle It: Finish by attaching a handle to your blade, choosing from various materials and styles to personalize your creation.

- Children must be over the age of 8 to participate. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult who is also taking the class. Children between 16 and 18 may take the class while accompanied by an adult
